A little about me
I am a front end developer and web designer working in Portland, Oregon. I spend a lot of time visiting places that don't veer too far off the I5 corridor. In an effort to mix it up, I also spend a fair amount of time in Portland, Maine.
Right now I'm working with Team Hively and the folks at 11 Bridges building tools that make customer service more engaging.
Tools I like to use
Most of my time designing and developing is on a Mac with Photoshop and TextMate. Currently, other tools I'm really into Codeigniter, Codekit, LESS CSS, Wordpress, and Transmit. I keep a Kamoa ukulele near my desk to provide small distractions when necessary.
Stuff I learned and where I learned it
I read a bunch of smarty-pants books and received a BA in English at Western Washington University in the wonderful town of Bellingham, Washington.
I then went to the Portland State University Multimedia Program, and received certificates in Internet Design and Digital Marketing Strategies. There I read some more smarty-pants books that were much more focused on interaction principals and project management, Adobe software, digital marketing, jQuery, HTML and CSS.
